Maintenance and cleaning
Before performing cleaning, adjusting, accessories changing,
repairing and maintenance tasks, you must unplug the power
cord.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that the
power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
The power tool must be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products may
damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe operation
of the power tool.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction manual
may be carried out; all other works must be performed by an
official distributor.
Keep all screws well tightened to ensure a safe operation.
If any components or safety devices are removed for
maintenance works, they must be repositioned immediately
and correctly.
Use only VITO-approved tools for this machine or technically
identical parts. Failure to do so may result in personal injuries or
damages to the impact drill. If in doubt, if you lack knowledge
or resources, you should contact an official distributor.
Technical assistance
The impact drill should only be serviced by the brand’s technical
assistance center, or other qualified personnel, replacing any
necessary parts with original ones.

Changing and inserting drills and bits
The impact drill can be used both to bore holes and to
tighten/loosen screws. For this purpose, drills and bits are used.
Never insert or change the drills and bits while the appliance is
running. Always switch off the impact drill before doing so.
1.
Hold the locking collar (2) with one hand and loosen the drill
chuck (1) anticlockwise until the opening allows the drill bit
or accessory to be inserted;
2.
Insert the drill or accessory into the opening of the quick-
release drill chuck;
3.
Hold the locking collar with one hand and tighten the drill
chuck clockwise until the drill or accessory is properly fixed;
4.
To remove the drills or bits, repeat point 1.
When using screwdriving bits always use a magnetic bit holder.
