Electrical safety instructions
The generator produces enough electrical
energy to cause electric shock which is capable of
causing damage and injury to the user in case of misuse.
Do not use the generator or electrical equipment
in damp environments, such as rain or snow, near
swimming pools or irrigation systems, with wet hands.
These actions may result in electrocution. Keep the
generator dry.
If the generator is stored outdoors without any
protection against weather conditions, check all
electrical components on the control panel before each
use. Moisture or ice can cause malfunction and short
circuit in the electrical components which can result in
electrocution.
The protection against electric shocks depends on the
circuit breaker installed in the generator control panel.
If the circuit-breaker has to be replaced, contact the
dealer to replace the circuit-breaker with one with the
same properties.
Use only insulated extension cords, with electrical
cables suitable for the equipment power. If using cables
with a 1.5 mm2 nominal section, the length of the
extension cord should not exceed 60m, if the nominal
section is 2.5 mm2, it should not exceed 100m.
Generator transport
Do not carry the generator with the combustion engine
running. Before transporting, switch off the combustion
engine and remove the spark plug cap from the spark
plug.
Transport the machine only when the combustion
engine is cold and without fuel.
When carrying the generator, regional legislation in
force must be respected, in particular the ones
concerning the cargo’s protection and the transport of
objects on cargo surfaces.
Before you start working
Ensure the generator is only used by users who have
familiarized themselves with the instruction manual.
Before switching on the generator, check the
leak-tightness of the fuel system, particularly the
visible parts such as (tank, tank cap and hose couplings)
and the hydraulic system (hydraulic hoses and
couplings). In case of leakage or damage, do not start
the combustion engine and request the repair of the
machine from an official dealer.
Before using the generator, replace defective parts as
well as all other used and damaged parts.
Check that all nuts and screws are properly screwed. It
is important to check regularly the generator to ensure
safety and a good performance.
Before using the generator, check that the spark plug is
properly connected to the spark plug cap.
Make all adjustments and work necessary for the
correct assembly of the generator. If you have any
questions or difficulties, contact your official dealer.
To ensure that you work with the generator safely,
before starting-up, it is necessary to check that:
▪
The whole generator is assembled correctly;
▪
The safety devices are in perfect condition and
working properly. Never use the generator if the
safety devices are missing, damaged or worn out;
▪
The fuel tank, fuel transmission components and the
tank cap are in perfect condition;
Take into account the municipal regulations about the
hours when it is allowed to use devices with combustion
engines.
While operating
Keep third parties away from the operating area.
Never work while animals or people, particularly
children, are in the danger zone.
The exhaust system reaches high temperatures that can
cause ignition in some materials. Keep flammable
materials away from the generator.
Keep the generator at least 1 m away from frames,
buildings and other equipment during operation. Do not
attach the generator to any structure.
Use the generator with special care when working near
slopes, ditches and wells. Place the generator on a firm,
flat floor at a safe enough distance from these danger
zones.
