Before refueling, shut of the engine, let it cool and open
the cap carefully so as to slowly dissipate the excess
pressure inside the tank.
Don’t overfill the fuel tank. In order to allow space for
fuel to expand, never add fuel above the lower edge of
the filler cap. Additionally, comply with the instructions
for use of the combustion engine.
If petrol overflows, immediately clean any spilled fuel.
The combustion engine should only be started after the
dirty petrol surface has been cleaned. Any attempt at
ignition shall be avoided until the petrol vapors have
volatilized (dry with cloth).
If petrol has come into contact with the clothing, it must
be changed.
Chainsaw transport
Carry the chainsaw only when the engine is off. Before
moving it, stop the engine and wait for the cutting
accessories to stop completely.
Always carry the equipment when the engine is cold and
without fuel on the tank. Thus, prevents petrol leakage
during transport.
During transport secure the chainsaw and put the guide
bar cover.
Before you start working
Individuals who have not read the instruction manual
and are not familiarized with how to operate the
chainsaw must not use it.
Check the leak tightness of the fuel system,
particularly visible parts such as tank, tank cap
and carburetor primer bulb. In the event of leakage or
damage, do not start the combustion engine and have
the chainsaw repaired by an official dealer.
Pay attention to the area where the appliance will be
used and check for obstacles objects (coiled wires,
metal parts). Not being possible to remove these
objects or obstacles, mark them so that they do not
come into contact with the cutting accessories when
using the equipment.
Before starting the chainsaw:
▪
Carry out an inspection to ensure the correct
assembly of the chainsaw and to ensure safety
questions and performance of the chainsaw;
▪
Check if the spark plug cap (connector) is connected
to the spark plug;
▪
Check that the safety devices are in perfect condition
and function properly. Never use the equipment if
the safety devices are missing, damaged or worn out;
▪
Replace defective parts as well as all other used and
damaged parts;
▪
After assembling the accessories and before using
the appliance, you must run a test in maximum speed
at no load for a certain time. Check for moving parts
misalignment or any other condition that may affect
the chainsaw operation. Check that all moving parts
rotate smoothly, without abnormal noises;
▪
Make all adjustments and work necessary. If you
have any questions or difficulties, contact your
official dealer VITO.
▪
Observe the local regulations on the hours when it is
allowed to use tools with a combustion engine and
the permitted noise level.
While operating
Keep third parties away from the chainsaw’s area
of operation, at least 5m away. Never work while
animals or people, especially children, are in the danger
zone. During the operation, particles can be ejected at
high speed that can cause injuries.
Keep the safety distance from objects (vehicles and
glasses) to avoid property damage.
When working two or more people simultaneously in
the same area, safety distances must be maintained to
prevent accidents and injuries.
