Unpack the unit completely and remove any stickers
that can prevent unit operation.
–
Check the unit for damages; do not use it in case of
damages.
–
Before switching the unit on, make sure that your home
mains voltage corresponds to unit operating voltage.
INSTALLING THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY
BATTERIES
In case there is no voltage in the mains socket, the backup
power supply batteries switch on in order to save the cur-
rent time settings, alarm setup time and radio station set-
ting memory. Once the mains voltage is restored, the
clock radio is switched to the mains power supply.
Note:
the alarm sound signal will be on only if there is
power in the mains.
1.
Remove the battery compartment lid (17).
2.
Insert two «AAA» batteries (not supplied with the unit),
strictly following the polarity.
3.
Close the battery compartment lid (17).
4.
To connect the unit to the mains, insert the plug of the
power cord into the mains socket.

Power surges or electrostatic discharge may cause
malfunction in the unit operation. In such a case
unplug the unit and remove the batteries. After 5 min-
utes install the batteries back to their place, switch the
unit on and perform all necessary settings.
Attention!
Backup power supply batteries leakage can cause inju-
ries or the unit damage. To avoid the unit damage, follow
the instructions given below:
–
insert the batteries strictly following the polarity;
–
remove the batteries if you are not planning to use the
unit for a long time;
–
replace the batteries in time.

Insert the plug into the mains socket, the flashing digi-
tal symbols (8) will appear on the display (11).
