INSTALLING THE BACKUP POWER SUPPLY
BATTERY
In case there is no voltage in the mains socket, the backup
power supply batteries switch on in order to save the cur-
rent time settings, alarm setup time and radio station
setting memory; once the mains voltage is restored, the
clock radio is switched to the mains power supply.
Note: the alarm sound signal will be on only if there is
power in the mains.
1.
Remove the battery compartment lid (18).
2.
Insert a « 6F22, (nine-volt) » battery (not supplied with
the unit), strictly following the polarity.
3.
Close the battery compartment lid (18).
4.
To connect the unit to the mains, insert the plug of the
power cord into the mains socket.
–
Power surges or electrostatic discharge may cause
malfunction in the unit operation. In such a case
unplug the unit and remove the batteries. After 5 min-
utes install the batteries back to their place, switch the
unit on and perform all necessary settings.
Attention!
Backup power supply battery leakage can cause injuries
or the unit damage. To avoid the unit damage, follow the
instructions given below:
–
insert the battery strictly following the polarity;
–
remove the battery if you are not planning to use the
unit for a long time;
–
replace the battery in time.
SETTINGS
Current time setting
1.
Insert the plug into the mains socket, the flashing digi-
tal symbols (13) will appear on the display.
2.
Press the button (5) «SET» once, the digital symbols
will stop flashing, press the button (5) «SET» again
and hold it, the digital symbols will start flashing again.
3.
Press the “hours” setting button (2) «HOUR» and set
the current time in “hours”.
4.
Press the “minutes” setting button (9) «MIN» and set
the current time in “minutes”.
