To upgrade the firmware using the utility: 

1.

 

Obtain the BR-DE800-<version #>.upd update file from JVC website.   

2.

 

Open the update utility provided on the BR-DE800 installation CD or download it from 
JVC website. The 

BR-DE800 Update Utility

 window opens:

Enter the decoder 

IP Address

 and 

Password

. 

4.

 

Browse for the 

BR-DE800-<version #>.upd

 update file and click 

Apply.
