Check the device for damage each time before you use it. The
device may only be used if the device and connecting cable
have no visible signs of damage! If the device or the connecting
cable are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer,
customer service department or a specialist workshop in order
to avoid any hazards.
Dangers for the Following Groups of People
■
The following people may use the device
only after consultation with their doctor:

people who wear a pacemaker or similar medical implants;
–
people with heart disease or who su
ff
er from epilepsy;
–
people who have back complaints or spinal disorders;
–
people who su
ff
er from osteomyelitis, bone in
fl
ammation (in particular if the spinal
column is damaged) or from osteoporosis;
–
women who are pregnant or have just given birth;
–
people who su
ff
er from circulation problems or thrombosis;
–
people who have undergone an operation for which the treatment is not yet
complete;
–
people with physical abnormalities;
–
people who have a malignant tumour.

If you are unsure whether the device may be used, consult a responsible doctor.

Do not use the device near to or on injuries, swelling, skin irritations, infected skin,
warts, fungal infections, abnormal changes in the skin or body parts with no feeling.
DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
■
Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms
with high humidity.
■
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device and the
connecting cable cannot fall into water or become wet.

Should the device fall into water, switch o
ff
the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains
power!
■
Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when these compo-
nents are connected to the mains power.
■
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water. Have it
checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
■
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when left unattended
and before cleaning it.
