Installation  Instructions

Vista Varifocal Dome Cameras

PRODUCT SAFETY

• Installation  and  servicing  is  only  to  be  carried  out  by  suitably  qualified  and

experienced  personnel.

• Do  not  attempt  to  disassemble  the  camera.  To  prevent  electric  shock,  do  not

remove screws or the cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer

servicing to qualified service personnel.

• Handle the camera with care. Do not abuse the camera. Avoid striking or shaking

it. Improper handling or storage could damage the camera.

• Do not expose the camera to rain or moisture, or try to operate in wet areas.

Take immediate action if ever the camera does become wet. Turn the power off

and  refer  servicing  to  qualified  service  personnel.  Moisture  can  damage  the

camera and also create the danger of electric shock.

• Never face the camera towards the sun. Irrespective of whether the camera is

in use or not, it should never face towards the sun. Use cautiously when operating

the camera in the vicinity of spotlights or other bright lights and light reflecting

objects.

• All dome cameras must be powered from a Class 2 power supply unit.
• Do not operate the camera beyond its temperature, humidity or power ratings.
• Do not use the camera in extreme environments such as high temperature or

humidity.

• Do not touch the CCD sensor directly with your fingers. If necessary, use a soft

cloth moistened with alcohol to wipe off any dust.

The Vista Varifocal Dome range is designed for use in general purpose internal CCTV applications

and has no other purpose. Only operate your camera between the temperatures of -10

O

C and

+50

O

C. Do not operate your camera outside its specified power supply range. Vista Varifocal

Dome cameras must only be used in clean, dry, dust-free environments unless housed in a

suitable protective housing to IP65 or better.

ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC)

This is a class A product. In a domestic environment this product may cause radio

interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures.

This product is intended solely for use in general CCTV applications.
The product must be installed and maintained in accordance with good installation practice

to enable the product to function as intended and to prevent problems. Refer to your agent for

installation guidance.
