Symbol Rate
Enter the number of mega-symbols per second (Msps).
Modulation
Select the modulation scheme (
QPSK
,
16QAM
,
32QAM
, or
64QAM
).

Data Rate (1, 2, 3, and 4)
Enter the data rate for the selected core channel. See also
Determining Overall System Capacity Versus Bandwidth
information.
Invert Spectrum
On
=Select On only if the modulation scheme that you selected requires it.
Off
=Default.
NOTE
:
Set this to
On
only when an incoming signal needs to be inverted due
to a different conversion technique or compatibility with other equipment.
Sys BW
Displays the system’s maximum capacity (bandwidth) in MHz.
Utilization
Displays the percentage of utilization. This value updates dynamically, so
you can change the values on this screen to optimize system use. See
Creating User Accounts (Administration Tab).
3.4.5 Setup–ODU Screen
The ODU (outdoor unit) screen on the Setup tab lets you define the following:
OpMode
Select
Normal,
or
Align
to drive the maximum signal to the antenna during alignment
procedures.
TX Mute
Select
Mute
or
Not Muted
.
TX Power
Enter a value between the minimum and maximum values that suits your modulation
type. If sites are too close, you may want to reduce power.
TX Frequency
Enter the transmit frequency between the minimum and maximum range values.
RX Frequency
Enter the receive frequency between the minimum and maximum range values.
