3.4.7 Determining Optimal Data Rate Versus Error Correction
Reed-Solomon (R-S) error correction is always enabled. However, the DXL8000 includes
option settings for powerful Viterbi error correction. However, the available throughput is
proportionally reduced. Use the following table to determine the optimal trade-off for your
application.

The User Accounts screen on the Administration tab lets you define user accounts for the
DXL8000 as described in the following table:
Administrator User Name
Enter the user name of the DXL8000 administrator.
Administrator Password
Enter the administrator’s password.
User 1, 2, 3, and 4 User Name
Enter a user name for up to four other users of the DXL8000.
User 1, 2, 3, and 4 Password
Enter a password for each user you define.
