Check proper operation of the antenna retractor unit before installation onto the
aircraft.

Check polarity of the power connection is correct and that the antenna retractor
operates in the correct sense (DO NOT OPERATE WHILE AIRCRAFT IS ON THE GROUND).

Take care to note the ‘NO STEP’ hazard warning on the Antenna Actuator Assembly.
f.
The Antenna Remote Control Unit is reverse polarity protected.
g.
The retractor unit is externally mounted and presents no hazard to the occupants and
crew of the aircraft.
CAUTION: Do not use the sacrificial arm assembly as a carry handle.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the assembly, ensure the arm is suitably chocked and tied before
you attempt to transport it.
WARNING: To avoid personal injury, ensure all moving parts are suitably secured before
attempting to transport the assembly.
WARNING: Ensure you take all necessary precautions while lifting and carrying the assembly.
