10 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
This unit must be inspected and maintained at least once
a year by a qualified, licensed and registered person. As a
minimum, the inspection and maintenance must be carried
out to ensure the unit works correctly and safely. It is advisable
that the unit be cleaned of dust and dirt regularly during the
heating season, and especially when the unit has not been
used for an extended period of time. This can be done with
a soft brush and vacuum cleaner, or a damp cloth and non-
abrasive detergent if necessary. Do not use aggressive or
corrosive substances to clean the unit.
The concentric flue system must be cleaned every 2 years.
Also check:
1 The seal of the gas combustion products and combustion
air supply circuit.
2 The seal of the pressure hatches at the top and bottom
of the fireplace; check the gasket.
3 Check of the pressure hatches above and below.
