System menu
PEDAL SETUP section
The
PEDAL SETUP menu provides the parameters to configure the pedals connected to the PEDAL jack on the
rear panel.
To access this menu, enter the
SYSTEM page and place the cursor on the PEDAL SETUP field, then press the
data entry dial.
Parameter name Description
Sustain Type
Type of pedal connected to the PEDAL [SUSTAIN] connector.
Values:

Half-Damper: continuous control sustain pedal, to be used with the half-pedaling technique.

Switch: foot switch.

Triple: Studiologic SLP-3D triple pedal.
Sustain Polarity Polarity of the pedal connected to the PEDAL [SUSTAIN] connector.
Values:

Auto: polarity is automatically detected when switching on the instrument.

Open (when Sustain Type: Switch ) : Normally open pedal (N.O.)

Closed (when Sustain Type: Switch ) : Normally closed pedal (N.C.).

Type1 (with Sustain Type: Half-Damper ) : pedal such as Yamaha FC3A.

Type2 (with Sustain Type: Half-Damper ) : pedal such as Roland DP-10.
NB
- Do not press the pedal while switching on the instrument and when selecting polarity.
- This parameter has no effect if Sustain Type is set to Triple .
Sustain Range
Position and range covered by the pedal connected to the PEDAL [SUSTAIN] connector. This
page also allows the user to calibrate the sustain pedal (page
57 ).
Values: between 0 and 100%
FS1 Polarity
FS2 Polarity Polarity of the foot switch connected to PEDAL [FOOT SWITCH 1] and [FOOT SWITCH 2].
Values:

Auto: polarity is automatically detected when switching on the instrument.

Open: normally open pedal (N.O.).

Closed: normally closed pedal (N.C.).
NB
Do not press the pedal while switching on the instrument and when selecting polarity.
FC1 Type
FC2 Type Type of foot controller connected to PEDAL [FOOT CONTROLLER 1] and [FOOT CONTROLLER
2].
Values:

Type1: pedal with RTS connector, such as Yamaha FC7.

Type2: pedal with TRS connector, such as Fatar VP/25.
TYPE 1 TYPE 2
FC1 Range
FC2 Range Position and range covered by the pedal connected to PEDAL [FOOT CONTROLLER1] and
[FOOT CONTROLLER 2].
This page also allows the user to calibrate the foot controller (page
57 ).
Values: between 0 and 100%
Prog +/- Polarity
Polarity of the two-switch foot switch connected to PEDAL [P / -].
Values:

Auto: polarity is automatically detected when switching on the instrument.

Open: normally open pedal (N.O.).

Closed: normally closed pedal (N.C.).
NB
- When using a two-switch foot switch with opposite polarities, select the Auto setting.
- Do not press the pedal while switching on the instrument and when selecting polarity.
