CHARACTERISTICS
•
Auto shut off: Automatically stops charging once it detects the batteries
are fully charged.
•
Timer Control Protection: The charger automatically detects the correct
charging time and main charging current changes to a trickle current.
The charger always shuts off the main charging current ans switches
to trickle charge after 3 hours (input DC 12 V) or 6 hours (input DC 5
V), regardless of the charging time.
• Over temperature protection: Protects the batteries from being
damaged by overheating.
•
Reverse Polarity Protection: Electrical circuits protect the charger and
batteries from incorrect battery insertions.
•
Over current and short circuit protection: Not only maintains a constant
charging current during the charging cycle, it also protects the charger
if you attempt to charge shorted batteries. During a short circuit
situation the indicator will flash on and off repeatedly.

Defective and non-rechargeable battery detection: Protects the
charger if you attempt to charge defective or non-recharge batteries.
•
Low Current Leakage: Normally if the battery charger is not connected
to input power and the batteries are left in the charger, the batteries will
discharge. To minimize the loss of charge, the charger will discharge
the batteries using the lowest possible current.
•
Trickle Charge Current: Once the batteries are fully charged, there will still
be a small current applied to batteries to keep the charged‚ topped up’.

Feature: Normally all batteries have some
residual voltage before charging. If the battery voltage is 0 V often the
chargers will not charge them up. This charger will restore the charge
even if the battery voltage is 0 V.
