Changing
the
CO2
Cylinder
When
the
frosting
time
exceeds
10
seconds,
this
is
an
indication
that
it
is
time
to
change
the
cylinder.
Please
follow
these
instructions
carefully:
1.
Close
the
shut
‐
off
valve
of
the
cylinder.
2.
Press
the
switch
of
the
Glass
Froster
until
all
pressure
is
released.
3.
Loosen
the
fitting
connecting
the
unit
to
the
cylinder.
4.
Finally,
connect
the
unit
to
the
new
CO2
cylinder
following
the
instructions
outlined
on
the
previous
page.
Safety
Precautions
for
the
CO2
Cylinder
•
Gas
cylinder
contents
are
under
high
pressure.
•
Don't
destroy
or
remove
identification
tags
or
labels.
•
Check
to
see
cylinder
valves
are
protected
with
protective
caps.
•
Leave
caps
on
until
the
gas
is
about
to
be
used.
•
Do
not
roll
or
drop
cylinders,
or
let
them
bump
violently
against
each
other.
•
Secure
large
cylinders
(125
cu.
ft)
with
a
chain
or
strap
positioned
around
the
upper
third
of
the
cylinder.
•
Clear
cylinder
valve
of
any
dust
or
dirt
before
attaching
the
regulator.
•
Stand
to
the
side
of
the
regulator
when
opening
the
cylinder
valve.
•
Open
cylinder
valve
slowly.
•
Store
cylinders
in
a
well
‐
ventilated
area
away
from
all
sources
of
heat
or
flames.
•
Before
returning
cylinder,
close
the
valve
and
replace
the
protective
cap.
•
Mark
empty
cylinders
"EMPTY".
•
Note:
The
standard
CO2
tank
has
a
valve
at
the
top,
the
liquid
at
the
bottom
and
vapor
at
the
top.
In
order
to
get
liquid,
the
tank
must
be
placed
upside
down
so
the
liquid
can
flow
out
of
the
bottom.
•
Note:
Liquid
CO2
tanks
have
a
built
‐
in
liquid
tube
that
takes
liquid
at
all
times.
WARNING
•
Never
loosen
the
CO2
fitting
without
first
releasing
all
the
CO2
from
the
unit
and
closing
the
cylinder
shut
‐
off
valve.
•
Should
a
leak
occur,
close
the
valve
and
contact
the
manufacturer.
