4.4 Setting for walk test
•
Set Dip switch 3 to ON and set the desired detection area (see chap. 7).
•
Set the right selector to MAX or MIN to enable acoustic signalling.
•
Set Dip switch 3 back to OFF and perform the motion tests in the protected areas,
checking the alarms are generated correctly.
If no alarm is signalled during these tests, this means that the detection areas have
not been adjusted correctly horizontally; make the appropriate checks, following
the instructions provided in chap. 7.
Irrespective of the position of Dip switches 1 and 2, the LED and the buzzer will
always be enabled when the walk test is active.
IMPORTANT: If the acoustic signalling function is not used, at the end of the walk test, set the right selector to OFF.
The horizontal and vertical tilts of the detection area can be adjusted separately on both sides of the detector (see chap. 7).
IMPORTANT:
The device detects the temperature differences between a moving object and the temperature of the protected
area; if the object is not in motion, the device cannot detect it. The temperature of the object itself can also affect the maximum
detection range.
