medical attention immediately.

e.  NEVER smoke or allow a spark or

flame in vicinity of battery or engine.

of dropping a metal tool onto
battery. It might spark or short-
circuit battery or other electrical
part that may cause explosion.

g.  Remove personal metal items such

as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and
watches when working with a lead-
acid battery. A lead-acid battery can
produce a short-circuit current high
enough to weld a ring or the like
to metal, causing a severe burn.

12.  When charging the internal battery,

work in a well ventilated area and do
not restrict ventilation in any way.

13.  Under abusive conditions, liquid

may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid
contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.

14.  Do not expose a power pack to

fire or excessive temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperature
above 265°F may cause explosion.

15.  Have servicing performed by a qualified

repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the product is maintained.

16.  Attach output cables to a battery and

chassis as indicated below. Never allow
the output clamps to touch one another.

AND NEGATIVE BATTERY
CLAMPS TOGETHER.

its Adapter before connecting
its cables to a battery.

after setting any Power Pack
switches to OFF position.

j.  Connect cables to proper

polarities.  Connect red cable
to positive battery terminal and
black cable to vehicle chassis.

k.  Locate Power Pack as far away

from battery as battery cables permit.

17.  Keep work area clean and well lit.

Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

18.  Store idle equipment.  Always lock up

tools and keep out of reach of children.

19.  Do not operate if Power Pack has

received a sharp blow, been dropped,
or otherwise damaged in any way;
take it to a qualified technician.

20.  Do not leave Power Pack unattended

while switched on.  It could result
in fire and property damage.

21.  Do not expose to rain or wet conditions.

Water entering the Power Pack will
increase the risk of electric shock.
