5. Storage
The battery tester must be stored according to the following conditions:
Do not store the battery tester outdoors.
Keep the battery tester in a dry and dust-free place.
Do not expose the battery tester to liquids or aggressive substances.
Storage temperature: -10° up to +30°C. Relative air humidity: max. 60%
6. Dangers emanating from the battery tester
• Before each use, check the battery tester for full functional efficiency. Do not use the bat-
tery tester if its functional efficiency cannot be ensured or if damage is detected. If the bat-
tery tester is used although it is not in full working order, you risk severe injuries to persons and
damage to property.
• Full functional efficiency is given when the battery tester is absolutely damage-free.

RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES
1. Working in the vicinity of a lead acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive
gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that each
time before using your tester, you carefully read and follow these instructions.
2. To reduce risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by the bat-
tery manufacturer and manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of
the battery. Observe cautionary markings on these items.
• Handle the battery tester with care. Do not let it fall down. Do not expose it to pressure or
other mechanical load. Keep it away from extreme heat or cold.
• In case of any defect do not attempt to repair it on your own.
• Any service or repair work must be carried out by qualified personnel only. In order to guar-
antee long term operational safety, only original spare parts must be used.
• For safety reasons any modification of ViGOR Battery Testers is strictly forbidden. Any modifi-
cation of the battery tester will result in immediate exclusion from warranty and liability.
