Status of the Display
The alpha display will report the status of the converter card. The following is an explanation of each of
the messages.
“Sync”
Flashing
When you see the word “Sync” flashing, the monitor does not detect
sync present of you have selected a specific sync type that is not
supported by the video source.
“.”
Small Dot
This is the power on indicator. It also indicates no errors present.
“VGAT”
This indicated the video source is in VGA DOS Text Mode (640 x 400).
“VGA”
This indicated the video source is in VGA Mode (640 x 480).
“SVGA”
This indicated the video source is in SVGA Mode (800 x 600).
“XGA”
This indicated the video source is in XGA DOS (1024 x 768).
“SXGA”
This indicated the video source is in SXGA Mode (1280 x 1024).
“Undf”
When you see this on the display the video resolution is undefined.
“Rang”
This indicates the video source is either a format not supported by the
monitor, is corrupt, or the sync type selected is set to 3-wire mode, but
the source is either a 4-wire or 5-wire type.
“Rest”
Flashing
When you see this on the display the backlight is turned off.
“Cold”
Flashing
When you see this on the display the temperature is too cold for the
panel to function. You must wait for the panel to reach operating
temperature before the panel will begin functioning.
“Menu”
When you see this on the display you are at the top level of the menu
tree.
