INSTALLATION PROCEDURE – continued:

The second method offered is by downloading this video driver from our

www.tycovideo.com

website.

1.  Download the video driver file (win9xe66.exe) from either of the two websites (link to the Intel

website listed above or from

www.tycovideo.com

website) to your hard drive. Now copy the

downloaded file onto a blank CD.

2.  Insert the CD containing the video driver file into the DV8000’s CD-ROM drive.
3.  Exit the Intellex software.
4.  While in the MS-Windows desktop, double-click on the “My Computer” icon, then on the CD

Icon to display the contents of the Compact Disk. The video driver on the CD is named
“win9xe66.exe”.

5.  Double-click on the “win9xe66.exe” file to execute the installation program.
6.  Follow the instructions on the screen. Select all default settings.
7.  Once the installation is complete, restart (reboot) the Intellex unit. – Please ensure that the

PC Keyboard is connected to the Intellex.

8.  While the Intellex unit is booting up, wait until the “Intellex” in large letters, appears on the

screen. At this point, press the “CTRL” key continuously, until the boot up procedure is
canceled and the MS-Windows Desktop appears. The objective here is to prevent the
Intellex software from launching.

9.  Now right click the mouse in the MS-Windows Desktop and select “Properties” to open the

“Display Properties”. – See Figure 1 below.

10. Ensure the “Colors” and “Screen Area” resolution settings are set for:

Colors = True Color 24 Bit
Screen Area = 800x600 pixels
