Thank you for purchasing the Video Devices PIX-E5 or PIX-E5H recording field
monitor. These recording field monitors are extremely versatile devices with many
advanced features and capabilities.
The PIX-E5 features both HDMI and SDI inputs and outputs, while the PIX-E5H has
HDMI I/O only. Because this guide was written for both monitors, some features—
like those related to SDI—described in this guide apply only to the PIX-E5, not the
PIX-E5H.

* Do not discard the USB boot cable. In the extremely unlikely event that power is lost during a firmware update and
the monitor becomes inoperable, the USB boot cable and a computer may be used to reinstall firmware and recover
operation. Should this occur, contact Customer Support for proper recovery procedures.

your monitor right out of the box. It also provides a brief overview of features,
warranties, and licensing information.
