Please read all instructions before using this appliance
WARNING: Keep this appliance away from water.
Do not use the
appliance near or over water contained in baths, sinks or similar water filled
vessels. The appliance must not be handled with wet hands, immersed in
water, held under running water or allowed to become wet in any way.
Keep
this appliance out of the reach of children and the infirm. Young
children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Do not allow bare skin or the eyes to come into contact with any heated
surface on the appliance when in use. Do not place an appliance on any
heat-sensitive surfaces when hot or plugged into the mains. Always unplug
the appliance when not in use.
WARNING:
This appliance must not be taken into the bathroom. For
additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with
a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
WARNING:
Do not use this appliance on synthetic hair or wigs.
Use on dry hair only.
Storage
Always unplug when not in use
Allow the appliance to cool before storing. Always store in a dry location.
Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the cord to
wear prematurely and break. If the power cord of this appliance becomes
damaged, it must be replaced by returning to the retailer from which the
appliance was purchased, or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid a
hazard. Regularly check the power cord for wear and damage (particularly
where it enters the appliance and the plug).
This product carries the CE mark and is manufactured in conformity with the
Electromagnetic Directive 89/336/EEC and the Low Voltage Directive
73/23/EEC.

IONIC TECHNOLOGY
Negative ions produced by this anti-static, IONIC hair appliance nourish and
condition your hair leaving it looking and feeling soft, smooth and shiny.
The Green LED on the unit indicates that the IONIC function is activated and
working.
Precision Digital LED Display
The Precision Digital LED Display shows the heat setting selected by
illuminating one or more LED’s on the appliance. The display will activate
automatically once the appliance is switched on. The IONIC function
automatically operates when the unit is switched on. The LED on the unit
indicates that the iIONIC function is activated and working.

To turn the appliance on, press the ON/OFF (I/0) button once and hold down
for 2 seconds.
To increase heat settings, press + on the temperature control button. To
decrease heat settings, press – on the temperature control button.
Ceramic and Tourmaline Plates
This appliance has Ceramic and Tourmaline Plates. Ceramic Technology is
preferred by professionals for its ability to reach high temperatures whilst
also preserving natural moisture in the hair and preventing “frizz”.
Styling
To straighten, separate a two-inch section of hair, gently place the hair
between the hot smoothing plates and clamp down firmly on the handle.
Slide the plates carefully down the isolated section in a smooth, even motion
from the root towards the ends of the hair. This process should take
approximately 5 to 8 seconds for fine hair and 10 to 15 seconds for thick hair
(the ends will probably require less heat than hair that grows closer to the
root). For best results, hold the ends of the hair while smoothing the section.
Finally, release the pressure on the handles and allow the hair to gently slide
away from the plates. To create a “flick”, use the rounded end of the plates
to curl up or under the ends of the hair.
To create a curl from the straightener. Take a section of hair, placing the hair
between the plates. Simultaneously, roll & glide the straightener down
through the hair. Working from roots to ends. For defined curls take a
smaller width of hair.
Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance from the mains after use and allow it to cool
before cleaning. To clean, wipe the straightener and plates with a damp
cloth. Ensure the appliance is completely dry before use and that heated
surfaces on the unit are free of dust, dirt, styling sprays and gels.

Your Vidal Sassoon appliance is guaranteed against defects under normal
use for two years from the date of purchase. If your product does not
perform satisfactorily because of defects in materials or manufacture, it will
be replaced. Simply take the appliance back to the retailer from where
purchased, along with a valid till receipt, for exchange free of charge. This
guarantee does not cover defects which have occurred due to misuse,
abuse or are caused by failure to follow these instructions. This does not
affect your consumer statutory rights.

Stockage
Toujours débrancher l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas en
cours d’utilisation
Laissez l’appareil refroidir avant de l’entreposer dans l’endroit où il sera
stocké. Stockez-le toujours dans un endroit sec. N’enroulez pas le cordon
autour de l’appareil, il pourrait s’user prématurément et se casser. Si le
cordon d’alimentation de l’appareil est abîmé, il doit être remplacé auprès
du détaillant qui vous a vendu l’appareil, ou auprès d’une personne
qualifiée, afin d’éviter tout danger éventuel. Vérifiez régulièrement que le
cordon d’alimentation ne présente aucun signe de détérioration (en
particulier au niveau de la prise et du branchement vers l’appareil).
Ce produit porte la marque CE et est fabriqué conformément à la directive
concernant la compatibilité électromagnétique 89/336/EEC et à la directive

Ecran LED à précision numérique
L’écran LED à précision numérique affiche le réglage de chaleur sélectionné
en allumant plus ou moins de LED sur l'appareil. Cet écran s’active
automatiquement lorsque l’appareil est allumé. La fonction ionique démarre
automatiquement lorsque l’appareil est en marche. La diode LED de l’unité
indique que la fonction ionique est activée et fonctionne.
