1. INTRODUCTION
The information in this instruction manual covers the instal-
lation, operation, andmaintenance of the
Zoom
Lens
This unit should be installed in accordance
with national, state, and local electrical codes.
Model
is designed to operate a variety of
Vicon motorized zoom lenses with its solid-state DC
power supply. The unit has convenient
panel
controls. Switch priority wiring prevents damage that
could occur as a result ofpushing two opposite functions
simultaneously. Speed control is provided by a knob
potentiometer mounted on the front panel. See Figure
The control may be used with any Vicon motorized zoom
lens (indicated by the suffix M in the model number) or
with a motorized zoom lens with a spot filter (suffix MS)
when manual operation of the iris is required. The output
voltage is user selectable, low, medium or high, controlled
by thecomxctionofjumpers
This feature
is used when heavy lens torque requirements need addi-
tional voltage for quick response. The
oper-
ates lenses up to the
shown in Table 1.
