Chapter 4 Maintenance

Adding or Replacing Circuit Cards

WARNING!

Ensure that power is off before opening the unit and adding or replacing
circuit cards. This procedure should be performed by a service person.

You can increase the capacity of the Pilot Plus by installing additional Main
Switcher Board circuit cards. Each switcher board provides an additional 32
camera inputs. When adding additional switcher boards they should be
installed as follows:

Lowest slot – Cameras 33-64

Middle slot – Cameras 65-96

Upper slot – Cameras 97-128

To install or replace switcher boards, proceed as follows:

1. Ensure that power is shut off and remove power cord from back of unit.

2. Loosen four captive screws on expansion bay front cover.

3. Grasp switcher board by edge connectors and insert into slot. Ensure that

it seats properly.

4. Repeat for each additional switcher board.
