Use the Drop downs to select the Local adapter,
Initiator IP and Target portal IP as shown.
Click OK x 2
The RAID should now show as Connected.
If this is a new installation the RAID should appear in Windows Disc Management as a New Drive with a message “Initialise
Disc?” Once this has been completed the RAID will appear in Windows as one or more Drive letters depending on the
configuration of the RAID. This is covered in another technical guide – Windows Hard Drive Initialisation.
For an existing installation, say following a repair of the RAID, then the iSCSI initiator should automatically pick up and connect
if no settings have changed. However, if it is the NVR/Kollector that has been repaired then the above procedure will need to
be followed if the settings have been lost.
If the RAID will not connect:
Check the SAN Network settings of the NVR/Kollector and the RAID match that of the iSCSI Initiator.
Check the Ethernet patch cables are OK and plugged in to the correct ports.
Check the RAID management software to ensure that the RAID is configured and functioning correctly.
If all else fails, please call Vicon Technical Support.
