Troubleshooting
If your humidifier is not working properly, refer to the following:
Problem
Possible Cause
Solution
• Power Switch is set to
On and Indicator Light
is Off
• Unit not plugged in
• No power at outlet
• Plug unit in
• Check circuits, fuses,
test outlet
• Noticeable dripping
sound
• Machine is stabilizing
• No action is required. The
noise level will decrease on
its own.
• Little or no mist
is produced
• No water in Tank
• Unit is not level
• Mineral deposits on Nebulizer
• Water Tank was washed
with detergent
• Fill Water Tank
• Place on a level surface
• Follow Cleaning Instructions
on Pages 6-8
• Rinse thoroughly with
clean water
• Water overflows
from Reservoir
• Tank may be leaking
• Check the Tank for leaks and
replace if necessary
• Condensation forms
around humidifier or
windows
• Mist Intensity is set too high
for room size or
pre-existing humidity level
• Decrease mist output to
low setting, open door to
the room or turn the unit off
• Float Paddle is
floating in the Base
• Water leaking from
Base or Reservoir
• Float Paddle not placed
correctly
• Unit may not be on level
surface
• Plunger is sticking or
damaged
• Tank is cracked
• Plunger may have foreign
material stuck under the Tank
Gasket
• Ensure Float Rod properly
placed on brackets over the
dotted line indicator
• Push and release Plunger to be
sure it is moving freely
• Inspect tank for damage;
contact Consumer Relations
• At sink, push and release
Plunger system so water
may flow
