5.8.2 Installation 

The NPT Server runs the applications described in sections 4.3 and 4.4, 
e.g. IsItUp and TermViewer. Please refer to those sections for 

installation details of those applications. 

A spare NPT Server is provided in the ArcLight network configuration. 

Currently, only a cold spare Support Server is supported. In such 
configuration the spare Monitor Server is configured with same IP 
addresses as the primary Monitor Server. 

5.8.3 Configuration 

The NPT Server requires very little configuration and comes pre-
installed with the Windows 2000 OS. The only configuration required is 
at the installation time to configure its Ethernet interfaces’ IP
