4.3 TermViewer
TermViewer is an additional monitoring tool that can be used to extend
the functionality of the ArcLight NMS terminal status screens. This
software is installed on the Monitor Server and operated from this
station.
The TermViewer can provide a lot of information about a terminal. The
TermViewer must be started from the Monitor Server. None of the
existing TermViewer Windows should be closed. They are kept open for
logging information on the remotes. The IP Address field will be the
VMT identifier.
Note: All information provided in TermViewer is also available through
the NMS Client; TermViewer is simply a more portable means of viewing
this information (i.e., can be run anywhere, and is not dependent on
having the NMS installed).
TermViewer is provided on the ArcLight hub Software Installation CD.

As illustrated in Figure 4-1, the TermViewer screen provides General
status information, as well as NMS/ACU Status, and the status of the
Forward Link and Return Link.
To set up the TermViewer status screen specify the name of the log file,
the Terminal Address and the Update Interval (in seconds) and the
maximum logfile size (the Send/Receiver Port address is filled in
