3. Connect Keyboard and/or Mouse to Broadcaster-Multicaster unit:
For the USB-844-BC, connect a USB keyboard or mouse to the Broadcaster at the front panel marked “DEVICE IN”. Note
that to select inversion multicasting, a keyboard is required. Therefore, if a mouse is used with the USB-844-BC, inversion
multicasting cannot be selected.
For the USB-844-KM-BC, connect the USB keyboard to the Broadcaster-Multicaster at the front panel marked “KBD IN” and
the mouse to the front panel connector marked “MSE IN”.
OPERATION
Selecting Inversion Multicasting
The Broadcaster-Multicaster powers up in multicasting mode. Keyboard and/or mouse data goes simultaneously to all PC’s.
To select/cancel Inversion Multicasting,
Hold down the Scroll Lock key, then
1) To select inversion, type I (the letter, not the number 1) and release both keys. PC 1 is now blocked from
receiving multicasts of keyboard and/or mouse data. Inversion may be cancelled by typing scroll-lock O.
2) To cancel inversion, type O and release both keys. Now all PC’s receive keyboard and mouse data.
Inversion may be selected again by typing scroll-lock I.
