5.2 How to use cooking utensils
When preparing food, take the following into account:
• The appliance cannot penetrate metal. Only use utensils that are suitable
for use in the appliance. Metallic containers for food and beverages are not
allowed for microwave cooking. This requirement is not applicable if the
manufacturer of the food to be prepared indicated that the metallic container
is suitable for microwave cooking.
• Do not use dishes with a metallic trim.
• Do not use recycled paper products in the appliance. These may contain
small metal fragments which may cause sparks and/or fires.
• It is recommended to use round/oval dishes instead of square/oblong ones,
as food in corners tends to overcook.
• Narrow strips of aluminium foil may be used to prevent overcooking of
exposed areas. However, do not use too much aluminium foil and keep a
distance of 25mm between foil and cavity.
• Do not operate the appliance without glass tray, roller support, and shaft in
their proper positions.
• The list below is a general overview to help you select the correct utensils.
