Component Functions
5) Draw tray : This tray collects the removed dust or dropped powder dust.
The draw in the front cover is removed to dispose of the dust.
6) Operation switch: This is the power switch for starting and stopping the dust collector.
It is a snap type switch.
7) Power cord : Cabtyre cord with insertion plug.
8) Fan motor : This is the drive unit that turns the fan. It has a built-in thermal protector.
When the temperature inside the motor reaches approximately 120°C, the motor
automatically stops, and when it cools again to approximately 80°C after stopping,
it automatically restarts.
9) Fan : This generates speed and pressure in the air and provides vacuum force to the dust
collector.
10) Filter unit : The filter unit removes dust.
11) Filter protective frame: This frame prevents the dust from adhering directly to the filter.
12) Rear cover : This covers the area containing the fan.
13) Front clear acrylic window : This is a plate that keeps dust from flying out during dust removal air
blowing work.
14) Rear clear acrylic window : This brightens the working surface making it easier to see the work.
15) Hood : This is used as a dust collection hood during dust removal air blowing work to
improve the dust collection effect.
16) Perforated plate: This is a work plate for use during the work. It prevents large objects from falling
inside the chamber.
17) Sensor : This senses when work is put in or removed and sends a signal to the air solenoid
valve. For information about the sensitivity and timer, refer to the “Sensor” item under
“Operation” in this manual.
18) Air solenoid valve: This supplies or stops the compressed air in response to the sensor signal.
19) Air nozzles: These stainless steel nozzles discharge air from two locations, one on each side.
20) Static eraser: This removes electrostatic charge. The circuit in the control box exhausts the air
within the hood about 5 sec and then turns on the power to the static eraser, so it is
recommended that the static eraser’s operation mode switch be set to automatic
operation. In addition, for information regarding the detailed operation of the SDJ-08
Static Eraser, refer to the “Static Eraser” item under “Operation” in this manual.
21) Control box : This contains an electric circuit that turns on the static eraser 5 sec after the
operation switch is turned on.
