7 SOFTWARE SETUP
7.1 Accessing the Software
To access the internal web page:
•
Type the IP address of the gateway into the address bar of the browser.
NOTE: Vertiv™ recommends the use of the Chrome browser.
The first page to load is the Devices page. See Figure 7.1 below.

The first time that a gateway is powered up, the Devices list will be empty. Figure 7.1 above shows a system after 10
sensors have been connected.
7.1.1 Resetting the Time and Date
The gateway ships from the factory with the time and date already set. The gateway has a real-time clock with a battery
backup which will retain the time and date for seven years. If the time and date need to be reset for any reason, use the
following procedure.
IMPORTANT! If the gateway is not connected to a host system which can set the date and time using the RESTful API,
the time and date must be set manually using these procedures.
NOTE: Gateway time must be set using Universal Coordinated Time.

Navigate to the
System—Date and Time
page. See Figure 7.2 on the next page.

Click into the System Date and Time field.

Each element within this field (MM/DD/YY HH:MM:SS AM/PM) can be selected and manually edited.

Click
Submit
to save the new values.
