Physical description
The module consists of a printed circuit board and a metal faceplate mounted to the board. The
insertion lever on the bottom of the faceplate facilitates the insertion and removal of the module
(see Figure 15-1).

Ports
Connection to the serial interface is provided by a standard DB-60 connector, as shown in
Figure 15-2. Connection to the T1 or E1 port is provided by an RJ-48C connector.
Caution:
Use care when connecting or disconnecting the serial cable to the module’s DB-60
connector. Because of the connector’s small size and high pin count, pins on the cable connector
can be easily bent and the DB-60 connector on the module may be damaged.
