About the Eyebeam SIP Softphone
Wave supports the eyeBeam SIP softphone on
platforms running Windows XP, 2003, 2000, and Vista.
If your system has properly configured SIP trunks, the
eyeBeam softphone can turn your PC into a SIP-based
voice-over-IP telephone.
•
To speak and listen, you can use your PC's
microphone and speakers, or a USB phone which
will provide much higher quality.
•
To place calls, you can use ViewPoint or the
eyeBeam window.
•
To use multiple line appearances with the eyeBeam SIP softphone, contact your System
Administrator for more information.
Hint:
See page A-10 for a table that describes how basic eyeBeam features interact with Wave.
The configuration procedures in this manual describe only those steps necessary for the
CounterPath eyeBeam SIP softphones to work with Wave. Other settings may be left in their
default configuration. For information on using other softphone features, see the documentation
that came with your softphone.
