3 OPERATION
3.1 Introduction
This chapter contains a description of the operating controls and indicators associated with
the telephone modems. Since the F271XA is designed for continuous and uninterrupted operation,
there are no setting requirements after the unit is operational. Once the unit is powered up it should
remain in service as long as required.
3.2 Status Indicators
There are five indicators used on the F271XA: Link Status(Link), Transmit Data(TX),
Receive Data(RX), System Status(System), and a multi-function LED for the telephone port (see
Table 7 for descriptions).
