11. Safety instructions
•
Ensure there are no stones or any other
objects blocking the regular usage of the
wheels of the rollator.
•
Ensure the brakes or the rollator are
always in parking-mode before using
your rollator. When you are standing
comfortable and stabile, you may unlock
the parking brakes.
•
Risk of burns – Be careful when driving in
hot or cold environments (sunshine,
extreme cold, saunas, etc.) for a
sufficient amount of time and when
touching.
•
Before every usage, check if the locking
handle for your pushing handles is firmly
locked.
•
Verify if the safety against unwanted
folding/unfolding is functioning properly.
•
Only proceed moving with your rollator
when you are standing comfortably and
when both your hands are resting on the
pushing handles.
•
Do not hold the pushing handles with wet
hands. If you do so, you can loose your
grip and loose your balance.
•
When you detect that your body is getting
tired, lock the parking brakes of your
rollator and have a seat on the bench.
•
The maximum users weight for your
rollator is 130 kg
and can only be used
on a flat underground.
Do not use your rollator on a staircase or
bumps higher than 40 mm.
•
When using the rollator outdoors, find
yourself flat and stable areas to use your
rollator. Avoid curbs and/or deep holes.
Find a place where the curbs are
bevelled.
•
Do not proceed with your rollator into
traffic. Always stay on the pavement.
•
Avoid bumpy or sandy roads. Otherwise
you might loose control over the stability
of your rollator.
•
Avoid roads with a very steep inclination.
•
Do not use your rollator to transport
people or items.
•
Take note of the instructions for care and
service. The manufacturer is not liable for
damage
caused
by
improper
servicing/care.
12. Care
It is recommended to use a soapy solution for
cleaning. The cleaning liquid should in any
case have a pH value of at least 6. Do not
use a cleaning agent which contains solvents.
Observe the instructions of the cleaning liquid
used. Use a damp cloth and lukewarm water
for cleaning. Avoid soaking. Do not use metal
brushes or any other sharp-edged or pointed
cleaning utensils. In the case of damage to
the varnish or the woodwork, consult your
specialist dealer. Regular care would ensure
that your rollator is preserved in a perfectly
functional condition.
13. Disinfection
For sterilisation use only disinfectants suitable
for treating varnished metal and wood
surfaces. Observe the instructions of the
cleaning liquid used. Use only proved
processes (for scrubbing disinfection) and
disinfectants included in the list of the Robert
Koch Institute (information can be obtained
from: www.rki.de). Disinfections may only be
undertaken by trained persons. Consult your
specialist dealer.
14. Repairs / Service / Inspection
Lifetime of the rollator is influenced by its use,
storage, regular maintenance, servicing and
cleaning.
You should use only genuine VERMEIREN
replacement parts. Repairs and renovations
may only be undertaken by trained persons.
Make use of the services offered by your
specialist dealer. He would gladly assist you
further in regard to service and repairs.
Before you resume use of the rollator, it should
be serviced according to the following criteria:

Completeness
•
Foldingmechanism
•
Check the castors (stability, tracking, fixing
screws)
•
Frames
(deformation,
stability,
connections)
•
Pushing handle (safe locking from height
adjustment system, good support from the
handles)
•
Brakes
•
Seat, safety belt and shopping bag on
wear or damage
•
Cleaning
