AUTO ANSWER
Automatically answers a call after a preset number of
rings. An ideal setting for the hands-free car kit.
When Auto Answer is enabled, call is automatically
answered even when ear-mic or car kit is not connected
to CDM8940.
1. Press [MENU] .
2. Select “Handset”, “Headset”, or “Hands Free Kit”,
then select one of the following options:

[OK].
AUTO RETRY
Automatically redials your call up to 5 times after a set
time interval.
1. Press [MENU] .
2. Under Retry Time, select a time interval option
(Off, 3 Secs, 5 Secs, 7 Secs, 10 Secs). The Repeat
Category will appear when a time frame is chosen.
3. Under Repeat, select a time interval option
(1 Time, 3 Times, 5 Times).
4. To save, press [OK].

Off/5 Secs/10 Secs/18 Secs.
NOTE:
1.
This function will not be active when you
select Vibrate, Silent as a ringer mode.
2.
Even if auto answer is set to the handset,
auto answer setting for headset and HFK
will be activated while they are in use.
LANGUAGE
Selects the language in which letters are displayed on
the screen.
1. Press [MENU] .
2. Select either “English” or “Spanish”.
3. To save, press [OK].
VOICE PRIVACY
Enhances voice privacy and avoids tapping during a
call.
1. Press [MENU] .
2. Select “Standard” or “Enhanced”.
3. To save, press [OK].

“Enhanced”: Makes it more difficult to wire tap.
