4.4 Ignition Protection (h)
In environments with an explosive atmosphere, ignition protection categories serve to prevent ignition by not reaching high
temperatures. The ignition protection categories are distinguished according to the type and function of the equipment and the
probability an explosive atmosphere will occur.
The ignition hazard assessment identifies sources of ignition and these can then be dealt with in turn, through compliance
with EN ISO 80079, (
