Electrical Connections
Wire Connections at the Motor
(Motor Code 1, 2, C)
NOTE: Follow the instructions in the motor
manufacturer’s manual. Use a motor starter with
overload protection. Wire size, fuse size, and other
electrical devices must comply with all local codes
and regulations.
The motor must be wired to the VFD. Install the
wiring at the motor as follows:
1. Open the motor’s electrical box.
2. Install a strain reliefin one ofthe ports at the
bottom ofthe junction box.
3. Connect the green ground wire to the ground
screw.
4. For 230 V motors: Bridge as shown, then
connect L1 to T1, L2 to T2, and L3 to T3.

5. For 460 V motors: Bridge as shown, then
connect L1 to T1, L2 to T2, and L3 to T3.

6. Close the motor electrical box. Torque the bolts
to 2.2 N•m (20 in-lb).
