Air Proving
Switch (APS)
Defective
(failed to
open)
Defective air proving switch,
failed to open.
• Remove jumper from air proving switch.
• Check continuity on switch. Should be open with no air flow.
Replace switch if necessary.
Blower is running
before start sequence,
communication loss between
control and blower.
• Check wiring between control and blower, correct wiring if
necessary.
• Replace blower if necessary.
• If problem persists, replace control.

Air Flow
Air flow is blocked.
• Check vent and air inlet for blockage. Remove blockage.
• Check heat exchanger for excessive fouling. Clean if necessary.
• Check integrity of burner. Replace burner (including burner door) if
necessary.
APS (air proving switch) not
connected to harness.
Connect harness to APS. Note different size spade connectors.
Tube to APS is not
connected or obstructed.
• Check tube is connected and unobstructed.
• Replace tubing if necessary.
Defective APS.
• Check switch for proper operation
-Switch is open when blower off.
-Switch is closed when blower is on (negative pressure)
•Replace APS if necessary.
Defective blower.
• Check blower wiring connections (120 VAC and control
connectors), correct wiring if necessary.
• Replace blower if necessary.

mismatch.
WARNING
Asphyxiation Hazard.
Boiler type is factory set and must match boiler model. Boiler type
BCC determines minimum and maximum blower speeds. Incorrect
BCC could cause hazardous burner conditions and improper
operation resulting in severe personal injury, death or substantial
property damage.
To verify boiler type BCC is correct, a qualified technician should do
the following:
• Check boiler model and insert correct Boiler Type BCC.
• Check wiring to Model Key located inside control enclosure.
