This feature does not download nor install newer software versions, it

simply informs the user if a newer released software version is available for
the test unit.

Changing the Protocol Mode

The unit can be configured to operate in either SONET or SDH networks.

The options that appear on this screen are determined by your hardware

configuration.

Changing the Protocol Mode from the System > Misc screen will globally apply the

Protocol mode change to all test modules/ports in the system.

You must have all of the ports

Misc

2. Select the

Change Protocol Mode

button.

3. The following menu options appear:

4. Select the desired protocol mode. The protocol tabs and settings will updated to

reflect the selected mode.
