4. To enable a second MPLS label, click the checkbox next to MPLS Level 2 .
5. To enable a third MPLS label, click the checkbox next to MPLS Level 3 . And to
enable all four MPLS labels click the checkbox next to MPLS Level 4 .
6. After enabling the desired MPLS labels, the user can modify each label's Label
value, TC , S(Bottom) , and TTL settings.
7. Select Prev or Next to modify the MPLS labels for other Ethernet Streams.
8. Select Save All to apply the setting and close the Traffic Stream Profile dialog
box.
Each MPLS label adds an addition 4-bytes to the Ethernet Stream, consisting of the
following settings:
•
Label (value): The default value is 0x1234, but this can be changed to any 20-bit
User Defined HEX value from 0x0 to 0xFFFFF.
•
TC (Traffic Class): This indicates the packet's QoS (quality of Service) priority
ranging from 0 (best effort) to 7 (highest).
•
S(Bottom) (Bottom of Stack): This is a 1-bit bottom of stack flag. This bit is
automatically set to 1 for the last MPLS label to be enabled (i.e., the bottom of
the stack), and automatically set to 0 for all higher level labels in the stack.
•
TTL (Time to Live): This is an 8-bit field used to encode a Time-To-Live value
ranging from 0 to 255 (default).
Transmitting Packet Streams
(Specifically for LAN/WAN Ethernet testing)
The Config > Strms Pg1 and Strms Pg2 screens provides the tools required to configure
or edit any or all of the available packet streams.
To start transmission on specific packet streams:
1. Select the Packet tab.
2. Configure the Mode and desired Packet Stream settings.
3. When configuring more that one stream, if the total configured bandwidth
exceeds 100% the processor will automatically and proportionately adjust each
enabled stream so the total bandwidth being transmitted is exactly 100%.
