The OTN processor supports hot-swappable laser
modules.
The wavelength of the selected interface is determined by
the specifications of the pluggable laser module being used.
All currently licensed interface rates are displayed in the
Interface menu, regardless if the rates are actually supported
by the currently inserted laser modules or not.
Verify that the inserted laser module supports the desired
Interface rate prior to selecting it.
Constant
LOS
or
LOF
alarms may be present when an
unsupported Interface rate is selected or if the required laser
module is unplugged.
Not Assigned
is displayed if one of the Interfaces listed
above is currently not selected.
Clock Reference
Determines the timing source for the transmit signal. Select
one of the following:
Internal.
Derives the transmit data's timing source from the
setting, as configured on the System tab >
MISC screen.
CLK:INT
displays in the LED Quick Status
Area
when configured for Internal clocking.
Recovered.
Derives the transmit timing source from the
clock signal on the receive interface. If this option is selected,
but a signal is not available, then this function defaults to
Internal. The
CLK:REC
displays in the LED Quick Status
Area when configured for Recovered clocking.
The Recovered clock option is not available in
Asynchronous mappings.
Mapping
Note:
The
Mapping function is
not available when
the Interface
Selects the type of signals that are combined and inserted
into the OTN transmit signal.

Unframed BERT:
Transmits an Unframed BERT
signal in the OTN frame.
