Generates a High Symbol Error Ratio alarm

This screen also allows you to generate LOS alarms on the Optical Lanes.
An LOS alarm can be generated on each Optical Lane separately, by selecting the
check box next to the
LOS (Optical Lane #) OFF
.
When the Lane's LOS alarm is enabled (checked), the word OFF changes to ON.
The
ALL LOS ON
button can be used to generate LOS on all Optical Lanes
simultaneously.
The
ALL LOS OFF
button can be used to turn off the LOS alarm on any Optical Lanes
currently generating an LOS alarm.
Virtual Lane Errors and Alarms can be inserted on individual Lanes from the Multi-
Lanes screen
MLD Transmit - Multi-Lanes
The Transmit
Multi-Lanes
screen is used for generating & testing Logical and
PCS/FEC lanes, and for mapping PCS/FEC lanes into Physical lanes (sometimes
referred to as electrical lanes).

Interface types, the virtual lanes are referred to as "
PCS
lanes
".
