OPERATING THE UNIT IN CORDED MODE

Insert the Adapter’s DC Connector of the AC/DC

Charging/Power Adapter into the 12 Volt DC

Charging Port. Insert the plug end into a

(powered) standard North American 120 Volt

60Hz outlet. Operate the unit as outlined in the

previous section.

RECHARGING THE BUILT-IN BATTERY

Insert the Adapter’s DC Connector of the AC/DC

Charging/Power Adapter into the 12 Volt DC

Charging Port. Insert the plug end into a (powered) standard

North American 120 Volt 60Hz outlet. 

Do not charge for

longer than 8 hours.
Note:

The red Charging Indicator LED will light to indicate
the unit is charging.

Battery Disposal

This unit contains an Ni-MH battery and should

be disposed of properly. For more information on

recycling batteries, call toll-free (800) 822-8837. 

WARNINGS

• Do not dispose of the battery in fire. This may result

in an explosion.

• Before disposing of the battery, protect exposed

terminals with heavy-duty electrical tape to

prevent shorting, which can result in injury or fire.

• Do not expose the battery to fire or intense heat as

it may explode.

Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure optimum

performance and avoid damage to the unit.

OPERATING THE UNIT

Position the unit as desired. Press the HIGH/OFF/LOW Switch

on the side of the unit.
The up position turns the unit ON in HIGH setting.
The down position turns the unit ON in LOW setting.
The center position turns the unit OFF.

• Charge or power this unit only with originally supplied

Class 2 Transformer. Consult manufacturer for replacement.

• DO NOT charge this unit or use it in corded mode in

conditions where it may come in contact with oil or liquids.

CAUTIONS

• DO NOT submerge this unit in liquids of any kind.
• Do not charge or use this unit in corded mode in the rain, snow or

other wet conditions.

• Make sure the adapter cord is placed so it is not tripped over or

damaged by pinching, abrading or cutting. Do not place it near

moving objects, doors or sharp objects. Discontinue use if the

adapter or cord is damaged.

• Do not expose the adapter cord to extreme heat.
• This is not a toy — keep away from children.
• Do not operate unit if there is any evidence of damage. To replace

worn or defective parts, contact Customer Service Department, toll-
