Downloading data with the
DLD
®
Wide Range
The user-friendly Remote TCO Manager (RTM) configuration software manages the DLD ® Wide Range data
downloading process. The software uses a task list with pre-defined intervals, specifying when downloading
is to take place. You can also use the RTM to create further download tasks.
The task list is sent to the remote server once a day. The remote server transmits the relevant tasks each time
a connection is established with the DLD ® Wide Range.

Data transfer
4 The DLD ® Wide Range transmits
the encrypted data to the remote
server via GPRS.
5 Data for TIS-Web ® customers
is transmitted directly to the
TIS-Web
® server via a secure
Internet connection (https) – so it’s
immediately available for evaluation.
For Office applications like e. g.
TIS-Office ® , the data is transferred
from the remote server to the office
computer via a secure Internet
connection (https).
This is how DLD ® Wide Range data transfer works:
Authentication
1 The DLD ® establishes a connection
between the DTCO ® and the RTM on
the office PC
2 Authentication takes place between
the company card and the DTCO ® .
Data download
3 Secure data download from the
DTCO ® to the DLD ® (driver cards
and/or mass memory data), where
the data is collected and encrypted.
