Checking the vehicle functions
A
Check the safety-relevant vehicle functions only when the vehicle is stationary, or mov-
ing at low speed. Only perform the check in an open area.
Brake system, alarm system, lights, immobiliser, speedometer, trip computer, clock.
Checking installation

Press the
SETUP
button.
☞
Select “System –> Install”.
To check the installation and to configure the system the following functions can then
be used:

System status
Reading the following values:

GPS status: Displays the receiver status. To ensure that the navigation system is
functioning properly “3D position” should be displayed.

Satellites: The number of GPS satellites received. A minimum of 4 satellites should
be received to ensure that location determination is sufficiently accurate.

Speedometer impulses: Speedometer impulses should be displayed here when dri-
ving if a speedometer signal is connected.
If speedometer impulses are displayed when the vehicle is stationary the speedome-
ter signal may not be suitable.

Direction: If the reversing signal is connected “Backward” should be displayed when
reverse gear is selected.

Mounting angle

Select “Mount. angle” in the installation menu and set the value in accordance with
the mounting position of the unit.

Loudspeaker test
☞
Select “Speaker test” in the installation menu and press
OK
to check that the loud-
speakers are connected correctly.
☞
Press the
CLR
button to end the test.

Setting the time zone and time format
☞
Select “Clock/ Date” in the SETUP menu.
☞
Set the required format for the time and date as well as for the time zone applica-
ble to your location (e.g. “+2.00 GMT” for Central European Summer Time).
