Fuel system cut-off
In the event of an impact, the fuel cut-
off system, automatically cuts off the
fuel supply to the engine and the
vehicle's power supply.
As soon as the system cuts off the fuel
supply, the hazard warning flashers,
the side lights and the interior lights
are switched on and the doors are
unlocked.
Caution
After an impact and before
restoring these power supplies,
check that there are no fuel leaks
or sparks to avoid any risk of fire.
To restore the fuel supply, press the
button on the fuel supply cut-off
device.
It is located in the passenger
compartment.
Depending on version, there is a an
additional safety relay that is
activated after an impact. This safety
relay cuts off the electrical supply.

ignition and any external heaters
with combustion chambers.
Follow the operating and safety
instructions of the filling station
when refuelling.

Fuel is flammable and explosive.
No smoking. No naked flames or
sparks.
If a smell of fuel can be noticed
inside the vehicle, have the cause
of this remedied immediately by a
workshop.
A label with symbols at the fuel filler
flap is indicating the allowed fuel
types. In Europe the pump nozzles of
the filling stations are marked with
these symbols. Refuel only the
allowed fuel type.
