If the vehicle stops for more than
three seconds in a forward gear, if the
automatic transmission is in P
position or the vehicle speed exceeds
6 mph, no audible signals are given
and no viual feedback is displayed in
the Info Display.
12 ultrasonic parking sensors
If the vehicle is equipped with six
ultrasonic parking sensors each in
both the rear and front bumper, the
system warns the driver by display
indication and audible signals.
However, the display indication can
vary depending on version.
If the obstacle (1) is within the driving
path and might lead to a collision, an
audible signal is given.
Obstacles (2) that are close to the
vehicle, but not within the calculated
driving path are indicated in the Info
Display, but no audible signal is
given.
Side protection
If the obstacle is alongside the vehicle
and within the driving path and might
lead to a collision, an audible signal is
given. Obstacles alongside the
vehicle are only considered if they
have been previously recognised by
the parking sensors and memorised
by the system.
9 Warning
Only fixed obstacles are indicated
correctly.
Moving obstacles detected at the
beginning of a manoeuvre may be
indicated mistakenly.
