Front compartment:
small and lightweight gear such as your phone, GPS, headband,
energy bars etc.
Main compartment:
lighter weight items such as clothing or your first aid kit should be
packed at the bottom, top and sides. Heavy gear such as your tent, food or water should
be packed in the middle and close to your back.
Tool compartment:
This is accessible from the outside and it’s where lighter items can
be stowed that take up too much space in the main compartment, need to be quickly
accessible or need to be sorted separately from the other contents of your pack (dirty
items, for example).
Outside pockets and mesh pockets:
Storage space for small items (water bottles, rain
jacket, hat, tissues, gloves, etc). They should be loaded fairly evenly on each side.
Hydration system:
This compartment is always located close to your back so the weight
of your fluids doesn’t influence your center of gravity. The hydration tube port is located
above the backpack straps. Hydration tube routing leads to the front via loops on both
shoulder straps.
